As a result, GreenCM charges a flat rate of $100 per hour (ex GST) for grant writing.

For example, to write a high-quality Queensland gambling grant will take approximately 10 – 12 hours (or $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 ex GST) of actual work.

This includes the initial, mid-point and final meeting to ensure we are on track, reviewing your organisation details in the grant portal, dratiing and expanding the idea, revisions and final documents to upload.

No success bonus!

GreenCM also charges no successful grant bonus – after all your success is our success. All we ask is you let us know and post a photo to our socials. We will also list your successful grant on our webpage.

Look out! The same Queensland Gambling grant could suddenly cost you over $5,000.00 with a 15% success fee. (or your $100,000.00 Gambling super grant costing you over $15,000.00 or over 150 hours of GreenCM work!)

This really depends on the grant, its complexity and how prepared you are as an applicant.

Writing a grant can range from 4 or 5 hours for small grants to 30 – 40 hours for larger grants. Please be aware that complicated grants and grants of more than $1M will take longer to prepare.

Remember, if that Queensland Gambling grant only takes us 8 hours to complete, you will only be charged for 8 hours of work.

No, not normally. These costs will need to be covered separately.

How long it takes to hear back about a grant depends on the funding body. While this is usually included in the grant documents, it can vary between 1 – 2 weeks of emergent or quick turnaround grants to 6 – 9 months for some government grants.

While GreenCM Grant Writers can certainly help you prepare and even identify project ideas (through Needs Analysis and Strategic Planning activities), having the following information will not only reduce grant writing costs, but it will also improve the quality of the grant and reduce the response time.

In addition to information about your project, your three priorities should be:

1. Information about your club, group, business or organisation, including history, mission, target group, accountability structure, number of staff and volunteers, current enrolment or membership, user-group demographics, financial turnover, past and current projects and programs.

2. Copies of insurance certificates of currency, audited financial statements, incorporation documents, GST and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, titles or lease agreements.

3. Finally, gather a list of referees for future funding applications. These should be targeted by idea or project as particular referees will strengthen different applications.
