Individuals entering the current employment market face a highly competitive job market, with high employer expectations and high staff turnovers. In this employer driven market many applicants don’t progress pass the interview stage.

Unfortunately, even if they are successful at interview, due to low self-esteem, poor past workplace experiences and poor workplace communication skills, there is a high probability that they will get the job of their dreams and lose it tomorrow.

How GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © helps perspective employees

The ultimate goal of the GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © is to prepare the individual for the workforce by overcoming key employment barriers, including, but not limited to:

  • Building Self confidence

  • Exploring past negative workplace and interview experiences

  • Improving communication skills

  • Identifying individual strengths

  • Highlighting personal goals and linking them to employment outcomes

  • Identifying possible training and development opportunities

Not a Counselling program

The GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © is not a counselling program.

Most individuals simply do not require therapeutic counselling, and the reality is most simply "turn off" at the very idea of it. Instead, they go through the motions to tick a box. Not leading to employment outcomes.

The GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © is not a box checking exercise. It aligns to key areas of employee barriers based on years of frontline experience, led by the individual and targeted to their individual needs. This builds meaningful engagement, improves outcomes and increases employment uptake and retention.

What does delivery look like?

  • Delivered one-on-one, via weekly/fortnightly sessions (12 sessions recommended).

  • Virtual 1 hr sessions made up of 50minutes of direct contact and 10min of notes.

  • This allows time to build rapport, develop a shared understanding of the participants needs, explore opportunities for future career development.

What does success look like?

The success of the individual’s engagement in the GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © is measured by:

  • Participant feedback form, completed at sessions 1, 6 and 12.

  • Participants feeling of improved self-confidence and workplace positivity.

  • Recognition of the participants strengths.

  • Development of employment related goals, defining a career pathway "What I do and do not want to do".

  • Identification beneficial training and development opportunities to support those goals.

How much do GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © sessions cost?

As an ethics-based company GreenCM believes in transparency and accountability in our fee structure.

As a result, GreenCM charges a flat rate of $100 per hour (ex GST) per session.

While recommended, participants are not required to engage in all 12 sessions. The 12-session model was developed to build rapport, develop a shared understanding of the participants needs, explore opportunities for future career development.

This also enables opportunities to discuss upcoming interviews and help participants build positive self-reflection habits to improve future outcomes.

About the facilitator

GreenCM Employment Strengths Program © is delivered by Shane Greenwood MAICD.

Shane has over 20 years of experience providing qualified and professional employment guidance and mentoring for individuals across a variety of business sectors. Shane holds university qualifications in Human Resource Management, Community Development, and Indigenous Studies. Shane also holds qualifications in Management, Community Services, Youth Work, Accounting, and Training and Assessing.

Shane is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Shane has over 30 years of experience across multiple industries including Small Business, Hospitality, Sport and Recreation, Education, Cleaning, Retail, Agriculture, Government and Non-Government, For-Profit, Not-for-Profit, Community Groups, Volunteers Groups and Startups from small to multimillion dollar budgets.
